DARKEST HOUR: 'The Eternal Return' First-Week Sales Revealed

"The Eternal Return", the fifth full-length record from Washington D.C.-based metallers DARKEST HOUR, sold 4,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 104 on The Billboard 200 chart. (Note: Internet/digital sales **ARE** included in the SoundScan totals.) The CD landed at position No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"The Eternal Return" was released on June 23 via Victory Records. The CD was produced by Brian McTernan (SENSES FAIL, THRICE, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES) at his Baltimore, Maryland studio, Salad Days.
