D-A-D To Release 'The Overmuch Box' In November

Danish rockers D-A-D will release "The Overmuch Box" on November 16. According to the band, the box will contain "the ten albums so far released; the EP 'Standin' On The Never Never'; a CD — 'Behind the Seen' — with B-sides and a handful of unreleased songs; and last but not least, a 160-page long book about D-A-D and their music, illustrated with Stigge's [bassist Stig Pedersen] drawings, pictures from their own archives etc."

D-A-D guitarist Jacob Binzer was interviewed by Rockalarm TV prior to the band's appearance at this year's Wacken Open Air festival, which was held July 30 - August 1, 2009 in Wacken, Germany. Watch the two-minute chat below.

On March 11, D-A-D played a private concert at a three-room apartment in at Nørrebro in Copenhagen for the winner of MTV's "Rock N' Roll Room Service" competition. Frederik Nielsen and 40 of his closest friends attended the show, which was taped by MTV for future broadcast.

"Monster Philosophy", the 10th studio album from Danish rockers D-A-D, was released on vinyl on December 1, 2008, featuring a double gatefold cover with heavyweight vinyl. The LP was made available in all good vinyl shops in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

D-A-D inked a deal with 3R Entertainment for the release of "Monster Philosophy", in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Released on November 21, 2008, the 3R version of the CD contains one exclusive bonus track, "House Of Fun".

"Monster Philosophy" was produced by Jon "Joshua" Schumann, who has previously worked with MEW, KENT, KASHMIR and CARPARK NORTH, among others. The basic tracks were laid down in April in Long Branch, New Jersey and work continued at Mansion Studiet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
