SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN To Release 'Instrumentalized' In September

SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN, the band led by guitarist David T. Chastain, will release its new album, "Instrumentalized", on September 15 via Leviathan Records. Audio samples are available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.

Commented Chastain: "There is a simple explanation to the origin of this new release, 'Instrumentalized'. A music supervisor asked us to give him an instrumental version of one of our tracks. After completing his request, we were very happy with the end result. We then decided to arrange a few more tracks for our own enjoyment. In the end, we decided to put together an entire CD's worth of material as we thought the tracks rocked instrumentally and stood on their own. So we hope the fans enjoy listening as much as we did putting the release together."

"Instrumentalized" continues the band's mission of incorporating hard rock, blues and metal into the "SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN sound."

Added David, "Either you get us or you don't. We don't really care what is happening around us and were aren't trying to make it onto the cover of some teenybopper magazine. SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN is having a great time playing classic music with a modern slant, kicking ass and giving a one finger salute to the music establishment."

SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN's debut album, "Exotic Dancer Blues" was released in 2000 to rousing praise from both critics and fans. Since then the band has released three other highly acclaimed CDs: 2003's "Double Your Pleasure", 2006's "Third Time Is The Charm" and 2008's "Valley Of Fire".
