"Cocaine", the new video from the Los Angeles rock band BLACK ROBOT, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed at the legendary Hollywood burlesque bar Jumbo's Clown Room and features a surprise cameo appearance by former "Kids in the Hall" and "NewsRadio" star Dave Foley. The video was directed by Lawrence Shapiro.
"Cocaine" is the first video for BLACK ROBOT, who was founded by original BUCKCHERRY bassist Jonathan "J.B." Brightman and Detroit singer Huck Johns. The band also features Swedish guitarists Andy Andersson and Staffan Osterlind as well as former HOT SAUCE JOHNSON drummer Possum Hill.
"We made this in the spirit of the classic rock videos of our time with lots of beautiful girls and humor.," says Brightman. "The filming was just one big party!"
BLACK ROBOT's debut album has been called "explosive, memorable, soulful, bursting with attitude and full of piss and vinegar" (SleazeRoxx.com). It will be available in stores and online on June 8, 2010 through Formosa Records/Rocket Science Ventures. Tour dates in support of the album are scheduled for California and Texas beginning this month with a stop at West Hollywood's Key Club with THE HEAD CAT on May 6.
