Two legendary Canadian heavy metal bands of the '80s — VOIVOD and DEATH DEALER — reunited for ONLY one night for an historical event in Jonquière, Quebec, Canada on July 4, 2009. After 25 years of distilling the spirit and the sound of the Jonquière heavy metal style throughout the world, the two bands made this event a "return from the past" with this symbolic and historic show staged in the city where they both started their careers in 1983.
For this event, members of DEATH DEALER — André Larouche on lead vocals, Jean-Pierre Fortin on bass guitar, Marc Brassard and Bastien Deschênes (ex-MESSIAH FORCE) on lead guitar, and Michel Larouche on drums — performed original versions of their songs from the album "Coercion To Kill", including "The Faddist", "Overshoot", "No Colors", "Occident Tale", "We Can't Come Back" and also the song that gave DEATH DEALER its start on the international heavy metal scene — "Cross My Way", which was released on the Metal Blade Records compilation "Metal Massacre IV" in 1983.
